Missions Committee

PURPOSE: The Trinity Missions Committee is chartered to:

• Use the resources given by the Parish to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Provide support for long-term missions, long-term missionaries, short-term missions, short-term missionaries, and outreach projects.
• Support both local and international missions projects.
• Encourage the Parish through guest speakers, presentations, displays and/or direct mailings to support both local and international missions.

STEPS: To request funds for a mission, missionary, or project:

• Complete the Trinity Missions Committee Request for Funds.
• Be prepared to meet with the Missions Committee or its individual members to review the Request.
• If approved, follow up with the project to ensure objectives are met.
• Prepare project status reports for the Missions Committee as requested.
• As appropriate, Trinity Missions Committee projects may be conducted in coordination with other Christian groups so that by combining its resources with others, Trinity might accomplish more than it would otherwise accomplish alone.

ESSENTIALS: Every successful application will comply with these requirements:

• Applications must be printed or typed.
• Applications may be accompanied by additional support material.
• The Missions Committee may request receipts and independent verification of information.
• Completed applications must be sent to Trinity Missions Committee, 12727 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas, TX 75230.
• All Trinity Missions grants are for one year only.
• Grant recipients must reapply each year on or before the due date as announced.
• All grants must be used as described above or funds must be returned to the Missions Committee.
• Successful applicants must submit a year-end report and (if possible) provide samples of work accomplished.
• Missions Committee members may not vote on grant applications they submit.
